Network management disabled in Kubuntu

leave a comment »

This problem seems to appear when you try to suspend to ram or when on laptop your battery is low and it suspend to ram automatically, this is my case.

I don’t know why the system is so stupid, but the solution is very easy.

1. Stopping network manager:

$ sudo service network-manager stop

2. Edit network manager state file, in my case I will use vi editor:

vi /var/lib/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.state

Here you will find a line something like:

NetworkingEnabled=false

change it to true, and save file

3. Start Network Manager with command:

$ sudo service network-manager start

In theory this must help you in solving the problem! GOOD LUCK! 🙂
